Lac Vieux Desert Health Center
The Lac Vieux Desert Health Center is located in Watersmeet, Michigan. This 33,700 square foot health care facility replaced
the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa’s dilapidated, undersized clinic. The new facility offers optometry,
behavioral health, music therapy, diabetes prevention, and many other vital medical services. The center is also a revenue
generating facility for the tribe by offering care to non-tribal residents of northern Michigan as well as a full-service pharmacy.
